Punta Trettu has a beautiful landscape and environmental, embellished by the view to the islands of Sant’Antioco and San Pietro (Carloforte). The vegetation is composed by several species of pine (domestic, maritime and Canary) and by Mediterranean scrub with endemic species of the whole south-western area of Sardinia.From a morphological point of view, Punta Trettu is characterized by a narrow band of sand and vegetation: at the end of this band, you can find a small nice beach surrounded by trees and Mediterranean scrub .
The sea of Punta Trettu is like an emerging marine sector with characteristics and conditions typical of lagoon systems. In fact Punta Trettu has a rich marine vegetation and a sandy and pebble sandy bottom with shallow water almost everywhere. Because the shallow water (about 20 to 30 inches) for several tens of meters from the shore, bathing is unmanageable.In addition, in Punta Trettu, the wind blows constantly for a high percentage of days during the year with a wind constant and direct and never gusty whatever direction it blows from.
